Social Media Tutorial
Intro
The good news is that it’s never been easier to get the word out about your creative business. Thanks to social media, there are a slew of low- to no-cost ways to connect with clients and prospects, find about their needs and wants, and show them how you, brilliant professional that you are, can fulfill them.
The bad news is that everyone and their accountant are out there doing it, too. (And stumping for causes, and chattering about the latest whatever, and posting about what their dog had for lunch.) As anyone who has spent any time on Facebook knows, social media is very, very easy to get wrong, especially when it comes to promoting a business.
If you’re looking for a silver bullet, jumping on Twitter or posting a profile to LinkedIn is not it. Still, the new media landscape — by which I mean all things digital, from text to sound to video — offers fantastic opportunities to listen, connect and promote your way to a strong, successful business, provided you know how to navigate it properly. This tutorial is designed to help you do just that.
